Welcome to Quiver and Codex. Both Mary Ann and I blogged in past years, but for various reasons we fell off the wagon. We still like writing, though, and Mary Ann is actually good at it. Look forward to some humorous and poignant observations on life and family from her. That is the “quiver” part of Quiver and Codex. As in:
“Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one’s youth.
Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!” (Psalm 127:4-5)
We’ve got five in our quiver, so you know we believe it.
My writing will cover more of the “codex” side of things. For those who don’t know, a codex is a book. It usually refers to an ancient book, but I’m using it as shorthand for culture in general. Books, movies, music, theology, and so on. I may even throw some fiction or poetry on here from time to time.
So, yeah. Welcome to Quiver and Codex. I’d tell you to have a look around, but this is the only thing that’s on here. Feel free to read this post as many times as you like.
